Waste of time and money. We have more important things to be doing than a stunt like this.
Let the NFL figure it out. If they want to play the anthem and force the players to stand....fine. If they want to scrap the anthem...that's fine too. If the advertisers start walking out in large numbers, it will get the NFL's attention. I am so fed up with the politics being injected into the games - which for me and many others are an escape from all of the BS you have to deal with everywhere else.
An old rich white man wasting a quarter million in taxpayer money to grandstand against people protesting racially-motivated police violence? And that same weekend the neo-nazis march again in Charlottesville...and neither Trump nor Pence says anything about it.
If there's a better picture of the fact that white supremacists have taken control of the White House, its hard to think of one right now.
Nary a Trump tweet about the Nazi/KKK march where those in khaki pants and ill-fitting suits chanted, "Russia is our friend."
You know what disrespected the US flag this weekend? White Supremacists marching again in the streets of the US this weekend, and not a word about it from Pence or Trump.
And all the while, the people losing their minds over these silent protests refuse to take one moment to consider WHY they are protesting.
LOL, so you have no argument to make. Pence's stunt did not fool anyone except the people who deeply need to believe this crap in order to feel good about themselves.
Also, you seem quite pleased that white supremacists have taken control of the White House so why deny the sheer joy you seem to get from it? You think its a great use of taxpayer money to put on a stunt to grandstand against a sincere concern for racial inequality - which means you are a supporter of continued racial inequality. Your words here tell us what you believe in.

But now with Trump in office for nine months we had the first month in ages when the jobless rate went up with a net loss of 33,000 jobs.

Pence said he wouldn't stay at an even that disrespects our troops, perhaps he should speak to his boss about his disrespect for our troops by keeping them involved in a 16 year old war no longer having any benefit to the US.
Donald and Mike are confronting the entitled and misguided racism of blacks against white America. That's the thing. Right or Wrong....
