An electronic message imploring fans to tune out of NFL broadcasts in response to some players’ decision to engage in protests during the National Anthem is showing up near a Long Beach area freeway.
Fred Denny, a real estate agent who works in the Long Beach area, said he spent $3,750 for a two-week contract to show his message to motorists driving past the El Paseo shopping center in South Gate. The message, headlined “Shame on the NFL,” declares “NFL disrespects our National Anthem + Flag. We turn off the TV.”
How stupid. First of all the kneeling has to do with black lives matter. It wasn't about the military and the flag. But Trump had to make it about that. The anthem being played with players on the field started in 2009. They were in the locker room before that. So my suggestion would be to go back to that.
IMO, it is remarkable how Trump was able to turn public opinion a 180 on the player's protest in 2 weeks time. If he can change public opinion on something as insignificant as kneeing at a dumb ballgame, what's next?
For years during the half time shows, the leagues totally disrespect the flag by violating the flag code in the way the flag is presented. The people who put the shows together never read the flag code.
Nobody ever said a word. Where they unaware or just not give a damn.
Nothing wrong with it except completely in the wrong place. Stupid really.

Funny how insulted Trump and friends get about patriotism. Trump never served a day in the service. He was a golden boy with deferments while others were losing their lives in Vietnam. Seems like the draft dodgers are the most patriotic? Wonder why? This NFL thing was totally blown out of proportion.
