I know a couple of living Canadian soldiers. Both are in the Princess Patricia's Light Infantry.
If you think you can take a Patricia, please go ahead and try.
Better practice on a few of our 10th Mountain first, though.
Or just ask them what the Taliban thinks about the Pats, instead, and save yourself a quick trip to the hospital.

Canada has a smaller population than California. So, all Canadians are all feminist because Trudeau is a feminist? By this logic, all Americans are stupid because Trump is stupid lol

The point is; Canadian soldiers aren't as easy to take as you seem to think they are. If you think its silly, well, it's your subject. I only responded to it.
Where did you glean that "desiring the disbanding of NATO" from?
What about NORAD? It was designed as an early warning system of threats emanating from Russia towards the U.S.. Canada would be the area of interception.
If the US is not defending Canada and there aren't any potential threats to Canada - then what is the purpose of NATO still existing - or at least Canada being a member?

The answer lies in your use of the present tense versus reality. America is not now, nor has it yet been actively protecting Canada under the auspices of NATO. The next time America "protects" Canada will be the first time.
America has been called upon through NATO to protect another NATO country exactly one time less than Canada has.
"The treaty was created with an armed attack by the Soviet Union against Western Europe in mind, but the mutual self-defense clause was never invoked during the Cold War. Rather, it was invoked for the first time in 2001 in response to the 11 September 2001 attacks against the World Trade Center and The Pentagon in Operation Eagle Assist."
The mutual defence portion has been invoked exactly ONCE only, and that was to protect the U.S.
Canada is a member of NATO and is committed to joining in the protection of ALL commonwealth and member nations, not just the U.S.. Canada will remain a member regardless if there is never a real or perceived threat against Canada.
North Korea is not perceived, (real or imagined) as a threat to Canada.
