in all fairness the press does just do whatever the heck it wants. and we have seen a whole lot of nonsense leftist propaganda from the media.
I do agree Trump over plays the hand a bit, but the other side of the coin, ever other republican that has come along has just kept their mouths shut and taking the lies and smears and smiled and asked for more.

Since when is providing a realistic description of reality "lies and smears" just because they disagree with the delusions that exist in Trump's rapidly degenerating mind or the fantasies of Alt-right propagandists?
I prefer to believe the "Fake News" press than a man that cannot remember what he said in front of witnesses a week ago. I prefer to believe stone cold reporting to a person that throws deranged temper tantrums when anything or any one disagrees with his current thought.
I kind of pity the Russians. They thought they had placed an agent in the Presidency of the United States and what they actually got was a deranged fantasist that cannot deliver even the reductions of sanctions.
