If somehow he manages to force it in, Blue states will simply add laws requiring min standards and thus the Red states will see older and existing condition folks crushed under increasing Healthcare insurance costs.

the key reason for the increased costs on Red state folk, will be the new pools it creates. For them it will be the bad old days all over again...
Remember when Republicans threw a fit over Obama's use of Executive Orders?

Don't hear much from them now do we? More hypocrisy.

There is a cap -- 3x the minimum.

Incorrect.

They already pay the biggest burden. They will be happy for the competition.

65 and you're on medicare and not affected.

But those retiring before medicare kicks in will hopefully have lower premiums if they don't have to pay for maternity/newborn care and pediatric services including dental and vision.

Healthy folks won't need to pay for prescription medication or chronic disease management services.

Hurrah!
It's going to be challenged in Court. It's executive overreach to alter Congressional legislation. I don't think he has the power to do this.

When there is no cap on the minimum, then there is no cap.

But that's not important. As long as they "win", it's OK. That they make 'libruls' mad is only a bonus.

So what if I have to stick a hot poker in my eye to win, at least I won....

Rex Tillerson might as well have been describing his entire base (which is not growing, btw).

Yeah they have a creative definition of "winning."

But it's no surprise, some of the people who benefitted most from Obamacare were the same ones who hated it most.

Not really. The ACA gave HHS a wide berth to define "essential services".

ACA does not even need to be amended.
