I agree, the body count will go up. But the issue isn't the number -- it's the alleged coverup. FEMA was caught scrubbing their website by the Washington Post.
Do you have a link for that (preferably not the Washington ComPost)?
People dying and Trump threatens to cut off their disaster assistance. What country do I live in again?
So what? There's no reason our tax dollars should be subsidizing Puerto Rico. The government should cut them loose. It should be their country and their problem.
I am expecting more. In hurricane Andrew they reported some number under 50 if that. So speaking few years later with some Red Cross person, he said well over 3000 people were never located and there was little mention of body parts in the news. Water, mud, winds and wild animals - can take you out of existence
There's just no way that wouldn't have been reported. Well over 3,000? Probably most of those people were located, but the Red Cross guy was there at the beginning when they still were still listed as missing, and not there when people located their friends and family members. I'm highly skeptical of that high number. If that were the case, it would be one of the worst natural disasters in history (second only to the Galveston storm of 1900). Believe me, that would have been reported.

Why would he need to cover it up? I believe it will come out that more people died than have been confirmed so far, but I see no reason to hide the number. It's not like Trump controls the press.
Though I will say Trump's ongoing twitter war with Puerto Rican leaders is completely wrong. Can someone please set up a fake account for him so he thinks he's tweeting when he's not? It's a matter of national security.

Do the people of Puerto Rico have a mouth and a media?
It's ridiculous to believe anyone in a free country could hide a death count these days.
For cryin' out loud, if Trump won't eat broccoli for dinner, the media breathlessly reports 3 unnamed sources from high up in the White House say Trump has declared a War on Broccoli thus deliberately putting the jobs of all of the illegal aliens, er undocumented immigrants who work on broccoli farms, in jeopardy. I think a "death count" is probably worth 3 weeks of coverage and two Nancy Pelosi press conferences (which she may get the president's name right in one of them).

This comes as no surprise to me. It is interesting to see the attitudes of many in this supposed majority Christian country toward people in need. The mainland will pay for it eventually. What men sow, they also reap...keep on.

But it's ok for thousands of Puerto Ricans to serve in our military right? Take their services for years and years and then tell them their no longer Americans. So much for supporting our troops...
I don't think he's hiding anything. He simply cannot count.
Really?
You believe everything you hear and read. Try thinking for yourself, and doing your own research. You'd be surprised how liberating it can be.
