With all the talk about that gross slob Harvey Weinstein attacking women and others using their stardom such as Ben Affleck doing bad things to women I can't help but think how many of these Hollywood types champion womens rights all over the world while their fellow females are being preyed upon by lewd men in their own backyards.
They will attack men that they do not like such as Trump but give a pass to the old boys club of Hollywood because that is just how it is ?
They attempted to trash Trump over his locker room talk on that bus with Billy Bush, it was talk, but they let Weinstein rape women and everyone knew about it.
Another issue is how top Dems have embraced Hollywood and vice versa. Hillary who claims to be for women did nothing but destroy the women who came out claiming that her husband Bill got rough with them and in some cases raped them. Hillary crushed those women and discredited them yet she is the one that tells us that every woman's voice needs to be heard especially when it comes to sexual harassment.
Yet another collision of Liberal ideals V. Reality are the gun bans and no gun zones yet the greatest violence we have seen taking place are in cities and areas where guns are tightly regulated if not outright banned?
They claim that guns kill hundreds of thousands of people per year and they should all be confiscated but in fact what kills more innocent people are abortions at planned parenthood.
We are lucky that Trump won because Hillary was for open borders and huge increases in "refugees" from dangerous areas of the world where "Death to America" is a common chant on the streets. What could possibly go wrong there?
I can't help but think of the hypocrisy when it comes to Liberal ideals and reality.
It just seems that with unbridled Liberalism running wild bad things are allowed to happen.
And FYI, at least 11 people have been killed in clinics where abortions are performed in recent years (by people who presumably identify as "conservative). So you are wrong there about the number of people killed in health clinics where abortions are performed as opposed to the number of people who are killed by guns.

Nah, the police didn't know about it - or they (the DA's office, more likely) must not have found the evidence &/or the complainant credible. If we as a society want to clean up this situation, then we just have to prosecute each case that seems plausible. That's what the DA offices are for - they balance workload against resources, & decide which cases to pursue - presumably on the basis of the most efficient allocation of resources, to get the most prosecutions possible.
From a DA's point of view, I doubt that they care about Weinstein's appearance @ all - except maybe that he'd make a good accused - but that's speculation on my part. If the case goes to trial, & there's sufficient evidence & corroborating witnesses, yah, Weinstein will likely be convicted. If we do that over & over - arrest, try & prosecute the likely cases, we should be able to make a dent in the number of accusations over time - the likelihood of facing sexual assault charges has its own logic for people who might otherwise feel that they're above the law.

Everyone knew about Weinstein and protected him, just like Bill Clinton, Cosby, Polanski, and all the unnamed perverts guys like Eliah Woods and Corey Feldman have spoken out about. To leftists, it is all right to rape women and children, as long as you raise money and vote the right way.
This was a big reason Hillary Clinton did not win. It is hard for many to accept her as some kind of champion of women when there are extant audio tapes of her laughing about succesfullly defending the rapist of a 12 year old girl, and everyone knows how she smeared the 14 or more women her husband raped, assaulted, and harassed.
America is changing due to the information revolution, and not in a way that you are going to like. Time to accept that the left has lost its faux moral superiority on feminism, racism, violence, freedom of speech, and the rest, and it is not coming back. The victims and the slandered can now speak out, and the leftist elites in media, government, and academia can no longer silence them.
