Most respondent's on this issue have NO idea the details.

It is just more biased B.S. out of ignorance of the facts.

The subsidies were ruled ILLEGAL by the courts.

Trump STOPPED the ILLEGAL taking of fed money directly from the U.S Treasury WITHOUT being authorized by Congress and through one of the many fed agencies.

P.S., The legal team who filed the brief was led by a DEM.
Right...Trump was so offended by the illegality that he allowed the subsidies to continue out of some political calculation.
Trump doesn't give a hoot about the illegality, and you know it. He just pulled the plug now, because he felt there was no more to be gained by waiting.

So, cancelling BAD EO's\EM's is, "tearing down..and not so good at building.", in your mind.

Heaven forbid we follow the law.
You know, your post would have a lot more credibility if Trump had been inaugurated..and the day after, he cancelled every illegal thing he could think of.
But he didn't, now did he?

Instead, he tried to milk every illegal EO, for everything it was worth politically..DACA, the Healthcare subsidies--all grist for his failed.."Art of the Deal' rhetoric.

Only now, is he so incensed about the illegality.

He gets no credit at all, from me....the Independent, former Republican.

You can and should be against something that is illegal, and you don't need to "have a plan," before cutting off the illegal subsides. What's illegal is illegal. There need be no "plan" simply for the sake of propping up a failed one.

There is nothing that is Constitutional about the ACA in the first place. Noting in the Constitution permits the Federal Government to take over an entire industry.

It seems passing odd..that Trump is really doing the same as Obama, in reverse. Governing by EO...doing those things that he can do by stretching the power of the Executive branch to its limits...and beyond.

For the same reasons, I bet. A Congress that has abrogated all of its responsibility in favor of infighting and bickering.

As the Red States implode...I wonder how Trump's base will feel--when it all gets real?

Can Trump create anything positive? Anything at all? It seems all he does is tear things down..with nothing positive to to put in their place.
Obama was attempting to help people, do positive things. Trump is trying to assuage his massive ego and simply destroy anything he can get his little hands on.

The fact is that he has no ideas, no policies, not a clue how to build a coalition to pass legislation and could end up destroying the country in a way that will take decades to repair. He's eerily similar to Hoover. The only 'negotiation' he has ever done is to bully others on an uneven playing field in order to make gains for himself and his family.

He has no clue how to negotiate with many without having an unfair advantage. His brand of politics is bullying and snake oil. I imagine that is why he is frustrated and angry all the time. He's been at this for 9 months and seemingly has not learned a thing.

If this was not posted on the government web site, it could be straight from the Onion. What a joke.

Something tells me that since these people are so gullible, even when Trump's actions put them into dire straits they'll believe whatever Fox News and Trump tell them about why they are worse off.

Actual facts and evidence mean nothing to these people - even when its staring them right in the face in their own hometowns

National Character Counts Week? This ought to be a good time.

There's a poll on this forum where only 15% of the respondents voted that Trump has any integrity or honesty.

Which is the Conservative ideal, after all.

Why should the Dems cooperate? They will take the same tack as the R's did...and obstruct..just to deny Trump a victory. Just as the Republicans did with Obama.
There is no reason on earth that Ds should cooperate with Rs and they'd be foolish to do so.

The Rs own this. Gutting ACA and cutting a trillion from Medicaid is all on Rs.

Why would Ds want to own any of the fiasco?

Two of the biggest faults of the ACA were not being able to sell insurance across state lines and the mandate. Eliminate those two things and healthcare just got better from more competition and being less expensive.

Of course, then you have flannel mouth Pelosi criticizing the changes while admitting she didn't know what they were, just like she wanted to pass the ACA before reading it. She must be getting senile to not see how foolish she looks every time she opens her yapper.

I applaud Trump for this move.

This will ease the burden of the mandate off of families while providing more affordable options for everyone. Market modalities *trump* state sponsored price control.

Besides, this is nothing new...this is something that he proposed during his campaign.

And I don't know what it is with Dems, they are stuck on communist ideologies where they always seem to be content when everyone is equally below average. It doesn't matter if we're talking healthcare, employment or education....as long as they can say everything is " equal"...they're happy, and they sell it to their constituency.
