Disagree. Of course it never completely went away, but businesses and stores discouraged it subtly out of political correctness and atheism values

You could still say it, though. No one was preventing you from doing so.

And those stores will still use whatever term they want. I'm looking forward to the 2017 version of "Starbuck's 'war on Christmas'" with some stupid Instagram post of a red cup. The horror!

Nothing is changing.

And businesses and stores will still say Happy Holidays in cities like New York Miami, Chicago, etc. Nothing will change. Trump didn't pass a law we all have to say Merry Christmas did he.

Where there are a large portion celebrating Hannukah -- why would you just blankly wish Merry Christmas.

Are only Christians who celebrate Christmas allowed to shop and get greetings - when does this apply -- December -- November and December.

Every year Christians complain that retailers are taking away their Christmas -- WHAT? It isn't about the retailers or businesses -- it's about church and Jesus........and Advent calendars.

It's bull. nobody is taking religion away, nobody is taking Christmas away.

Have a nice December 25th.

It should be a big green Christmas tree on the red cup. No need to make it any more complex. Make a statement that Christmas is back!

Why would they, though? It's their business, they can do whatever they want. And say whatever they want. Perhaps they would rather not alienate people who don't celebrate Christmas? I'm sure they have data on that move, and they made the call that it was a better business decision. Judging by the lines, they seem to be doing just fine.

And you are welcome to say whatever you want, too. As you have always been able to do so (even under Obama). Say "Merry Christmas" all you want! Yell it for all others to hear!

A red cup is a silly thing to wage war on, though, if we're honest.

I plan to say Merry Christmas to every clerk the entire month of December. My iPad didn't even autosuggest Christmas after I wrote Merry so that tells you something!!
