He probably did. That said, there’s already been too much attention paid to this issue IMO.

I’d rather talk about actual policy than this stupidness. But this type of stuff stays in the news for weeks. How do we change that?

Exactly, and frankly I don't know why anyone cares. It won't change a thing when you wake up tomorrow morning whether or not he called him a moron.
The media will play these things out for as long as possible until there's another mass shooting or bombing because they have nothing else to take up the news space.

Yeah, pretty much we are. It is called damage control.

Tillerson is no moron. He's not much of a Secretary of State, but he's no moron.

He had to know he would be asked this question when he was interviewed on CNN this weekend.

Once again, he didn't deny it.

I think Tillerson definitely called Trump a moron and the reason he's not denying it is because it was in front of several people. I think Tillerson isn't denying it is because so many heard him it would destroy his credibility with those in the room.

I kind of agree that Tillerson calling Trump a moron is trivial BUT

2 scenarios -- he said it and won't own it but it is out there and we will never forget it....not a good working relationship.

He never said it but someone close to the White House is purposely leaking false stories to imply there is tension, etc....and that is a problem. NBC isn't randomly making this up -- there is no real purpose in doing that. Why would they make up a silly story like that -- if you want to make up stuff - go for the jugular -- LOL. This is not going for the jugular.

It is reasonable for other media to ask Tillerson about it. If it was Obama in office Fox would be ALL over it if someone in his staff was rumored to have called him a moron.

For me -- Tillerson may have said it in frustration with Trump doing his silly twitter stuff. It's okay....doesn't mean he wants to quit...doesn't mean he doesn't think he can work with Trump and make a positive impact on the administration. Many of us had moments we have called or thought someone we liked was acting like a moron.

Tillerson just called him what the rest of the American people have been calling him for a while now.
