This is Mia Love's one and only purpose for Republicans. I only ever hear about her when it's some issue where they need her to be a token.
And like always, when black people are attacking each other all of a sudden they get a platform.
This, exactly. Uh, oh, someone commented about the 99.99% white male Republican party. Who is our token black woman at the moment? Oh, yeah, it's whats-her-name in Utah, right? Quick, someone go stick a microphone in her face so we can pretend to refute that truism.
Mia Love should be ashamed to play the role of the token, but if she is a black female Republican, shame obviously isn't part of her makeup.
There’s a black Republican in the Senate? Could’ve fooled me.
LOL - there is - Tim Scott.
However, I'll note to chucksnee, that Cory Booker is a Democratic Senator from NJ. He's black. Kamala Harris is a Democratic Senator from CA. She's black. So there are currently 3 black senators - Booker, Harris, and Scott.
To your point about a platform, yeah it sucks that the media gives so much of their press time to stupid statements and bickering. What also sucks is to see Black Americans putting down a smart Black female because she has the wrong letter after her name, rather than being supportive of her accomplishments.
She could just stop being the token black to counter black women on the left. Like i said, that is her only purpose. She needs to be very outspoken about other issues if she wants to shake that reputation. Otherwise, she's only going to be propped up when she's doing what you saying, talking trash on other black people.
Mia is wrong. The GOP is majority white and male. She shouldn't have stooped to the level of race baiting Michelle Obama, because she knows Michelle was right in regards to the sight that Michelle saw in the GOP.
Also, I find it odd that Mia Love is speaking ill of "identity politics" when she is a member of the CBC.
Except that's not what ms Obama said.....she said ALL WHITE ALL MALE....
She said when she looked out into the crowd that is what she saw.
I saw the video of her comments. She didn't say the entire party was all white and all male. .

Physically, there’s a difference in color, in the tone. Because one side: all men, all white.
From the link...prove it wrong..

And I apologize for saying that, I was wrong....
