How is being the most powerful nation in the world the American Dream? That isn't my dream. I would be satisfied with being able to protect our people and have the government live within its means - oh and stay the hell out of my affairs.
If corporations are given advantages over the little guy it might be over.
I know that government regulations put startups and mom and pops at a major disadvantage.
It's true. John D. Rockefeller got his monopoly because of those horrible government regulations that crushed all of the little Mom and Pop operations.
Sooner America will no longer be the most powerful nation in the World, for a country that used to be the center of everything , how will Americans cope with that?
hegemonies will come and go. Just like the Greeks and Romans before us, as well as the Portugese and the Brits. In the words of Johnny Lydon singing Anarchy for the UK, we're just another country.
It's a damn shame Trump is trying to expedite our failure as the leading nation-state of the modern era. Oh well. I guess we deserve everything we get.
