Many words have lost their impact through overuse and misuse. There have been so many false and exaggerated cries of rape and exaggerated rape surveys that women who have actually been raped should feel slighted. Equating the new definition of rape to real rape is insulting to real victims.
Newscasters and others with a microphone have called so many people racist (usually due to political differences) that the word no longer has much meaning. Calling somebody a racist today is akin to calling them a jackass.
Now many are throwing around the "slave" accusation. Those who were actually slaves should be turning over in their graves ("slaves" paid millions today to play a game? ...... that's an insult to real slaves).
And then we have the SPLC who claims to blacklist hate groups. But they include on their list any group that disagrees with the SPLC political agenda. So their "hate group list" has become watered down and useless. Meanwhile, the SPLC brings in millions from big companies like Apple who support the SPLC political agenda.
Anyone that calls the SPLC a hate group is beyond help. Truly deplorable.
Thank you. This is just my assessment of the situation. Calling the SPLC a hate group is a cop out. This is done by people who do not like it when people are critical of and want to fight against real hate groups. Said persons might actually agree with those hate groups, but won't come out and say it. Rather that come out in support of actual hate groups, it is easier to speak against the groups that fight against hate groups. Abstract way of speaking.

Said person might support this group which SPLC says is a hate group. It's not. It's just a Christian group.
“There's absolutely nothing legitimate about the Southern Poverty Law Center's so-called hate list. This vile group claims to be expert on hate, but that's only because it promotes hatred of conservatives and Christian groups,” Media Research Center Vice President Dan Gainor told Fox News.
Earlier this month, the Daily Caller obtained emails that show the Department of Defense Office of Diversity Management and Equal Opportunity “removed any and all references” to the SPLC from its training materials. The SPLC has also been under fire from conservative organizations, and a Christian ministry group based in Florida sued the SPLC last Summer after it labeled the ministry as a hate group.
The Patriot Post calls the SPLC “the anti-hate group that is a hate group” and labeled it as “un-American” in a story that specifically questions why the media continues to quote them – which is exactly what Newsweek did with its headline.
Why is Joel Osteen Ministries not called a hate group? Why is John Hagee Ministries not called a hate group?Other pastors have mentioned homosexuality as spiritual confusion. Last I checked, most of them aren't being considered hate groups.
I've known about SPLC since 2004. I know more than you give me credit for.
