Aren't they all in bed together? Ever notice how the price of healthcare drops dramatically you don't go through insurance?
Not really... Anthem sued Express Scripts last year for over-charging for drugs. The insurer WANTS drug prices to be low, because they pay less to reimburse for your drugs (and can charge you less, thus getting more customers).
What I want to know is, how does he figure this will lower anyone's premiums? Those companies whose stocks are plunging are going to take some sort of action to push them back up.
What's fascinating to me is that he lauds himself for the rising value of stocks in the stock market, and lauds himself for the falling value of health insurance stocks. All in the same week. As if there is no contradiction in what he's lauding himself for.
Trump is playing both sides
He appeals to the corporate conservatives who love Wall Street by claiming that he raises the stock market.
He appeals to the struggling blue collar conservatives who are resentful of Wall Street elites by claiming he's hurting the stock market.

It's just stoking hate, really. Stock price has nothing to do with premiums. UHC stock is actually rising quite a bit too.
Were you pro Wall Street? Guess you did a dance when the recession happened then?
The economy is not about love or hate. It's an interconnected system that affects us all. I don't cheer on any jeering of a huge portion of our economy. Especially in this case... it's not really going to help the average person any that an insurer's stock goes down (though they aren't really anyway).
