The soldiers mother and father were on MSNBC tonight, it's painful to watch how upset that woman is that his death is being politicized. Trump and that congresswoman need to take a step back, the family needs to be left alone.
we don't agree often, but this is something I can agree with.

On Melber? That was a different serviceman's parents. Trump did not call them at all, they said.
Richard Cohen said it best in today's Washington Post:
"This inability to feel the pain of others — even to acknowledge it — is not a minor tick in an otherwise good man. It is the salient characteristic of a sadist, of someone so wrapped up in himself that he has contempt for victims. Trump’s name for them is “losers.” They are the poor and the unlucky. They deserve what they get."
"Trump is not a conservative nor a nationalist nor some reality show creation. He is a mean S.O.B., base in his motives and cruel in his targets and, until he won in November, unthinkable in American history — a brat in the Oval Office.
He’s not man enough to throw an arm around a grieving widow. He disgraces his office and will be remembered by history as a lout. It is now a fate he cannot escape. Sorry, but he knew what he was signing up for."
In early 2013 to help the French military that had intervened in neighboring Mali the year before.
The French had moved into Mali after an Al Qaeda affiliated group and tribal groups took over the vast northern part of the country and were moving towards the capital of Mali. As part of the U.S. effort to assist that mission President Barack Obama ordered 150 U.S. military personnel to set up a surveillance drone operation over Mali that would fly from Niger's capital of Niamey.
I dont blame any presidents for military losses, it is the ongoing military–industrial complex. It is curse for this country.
I am SO happy we have the Trump brigade to point out who the real victims are.
Actually there are some of us who want the facts from both sides before pointing fingers....unlike others.
Good press conference today. There were a few other questions after the ones about this today too. https://www.whitehouse.gov/featured-...press-briefing
At the 3:30 mark Sarah stated that there were others in the room during the call.
At the 6:00 mark she states what the protocol of what happens during notifying the next of kin and even gave a time line of how the White House was notified.
At 15:50 In reference to what was said during the phone call.
Around 18:30 another question in reference to the circumstances around the situation and congresswoman's comment.
At 22:30...same question about the protocol and remarks about what happened in Niger.
correct, and with his words both in the phone conversation ( if correct ) and around this event he has shown he is incapable of performing this sensitive task.
i feel for the johnson's but i believe it's fair to put light on the subject so the WH makes the adjustments so this doesn't happen again ( basically not have trump directly call the grieving ).

What, the Caller in Chief, the guy who calls every serviceman's family, didn't call them?
See this is what happens when you don't think about what you are saying. You start talking about how you are the only president who calls the families of servicemen who are killed in action. Then you have to backtrack when it is pointed out to you that other presidents had to make the same sort of calls.
Trump really needs to think before he says something.
