The proof is that several people were in the room with Trump, including General Kelly, and Kelly said that Trump said nothing inappropriate.
Please provide the link, as I've seen nothing on any news source. I imagine it would be a pretty hot topic right now if Kelly actually said it, so the burden is on you to prove your statement. Waiting......
Ohhhh, so now he's "stirring up trouble?" Like Obama stirred up racial hatred for the last eight years while you said noting?
But-but Obama.
Obama offered comfort and support in more meaningful ways that self-serving phone calls made to families on their way to pick up the casket and remains of their loved one.
When Trump was asked about Niger, Trump deliberately diverted into stirring up trouble by accusing Obama and other Presidents of not calling families.
Since his pattern is to stir up trouble to muddy the waters, the question is what is he covering up.
My Father spent 30 years in the Service, including 4 fighting in the Pacific during WWII. He always said that people knew the risks when they signed up, so they shouldn't complain.

Just checked. Nothing so far.
Not only has General Kelly not not come out supporting Trump's claims, he's not been seen at all since Trump used his son's death for a bit of Obama bashing.
Kelly is typically around when Trump speaks, yet he was missing from Trump's Rose Garden soiree with the Prime Minister of Greece.
Not even any tweets showing him cringing from the sidelines since Trump's statement.

Sounds like you have a lot of comfort to offer.
Maybe you should take over calling grieving widows on the way to pick up their husband's remains.
