And it's not too complicated why our Constitution gave us the 2nd:
First of all, that occurred 150+ years after our Constitution was written. Second, you really think Mary Sue and Skeeter are going to be able to bring down the largest Military Industrial Complex in the world with their assault rifles??? What happened at Ruby Ridge and Waco? You cannot compete with the US Military. Like the Jews, disabled, gays, gypsies would not of been able to fight off the Nazis. Yes, there would be small victories but they would still be gassed and killed by the millions.

Were there 525,000 people at Ruby Ridge or Waco?
If one out of ten Jews were armed, Germany would have faced an army of 50,000.
The restrictions need to be national in order to be effective. California can ban and regulate ti'l the cows come home but when Nevada next door has a free for all on guns it won't work. I say ban the private ownership of bullets. People can go to ranges to shoot. Yes, I know bullets can be made but this will lower the ability of the average American to gun down others in movie theaters, malls, elementary schools, concerts, churches, synagogues, temples, workplaces, military installations, colleges, tourists traps, public transportation, highways, dowtowns, cities, suburbs, etc...

With one breath you talk about Republicans, NRA, Trump and the spread of fascism and how to stop it, then with another suggest the people give their weapons to the people that are who you consider fascists?
At the gas station down the road from me, when the man with the knife jumped into the woman's car, the combination of her actions and gun ended with him being taken by helicopter to the hospital.
I'd certainly say the gun was quite important to her safety.
Except the 50,00 Jews armed would be outnumbered by millions of Nazi sympathizing Germans, so don't see your logic here.
