Can you imagine the national uproar if Trump even came anywhere close to saying that? But because this lib-tard mayor says something this retarded, he gets no flack for it.

BTW, didn’t this mayor declared that his city was a sanctuary city and welcomes everyone? I guess that didn’t mean US citizens from Puerto Rico.

Another fine example of the hypocrisy of the liberal Left.

After Progressives destroyed their homeland with corruption and lies, they'd be real stupid for voting for more of that.

Your link said these were his comments:

Quote:
“I don’t want to encourage people to come here if they don’t have some family to turn to. I think we have to be really clear about that,” he said. “This is a city, right now, it’s ready to do anything and everything for people who come here, but we are also clear that we have tremendous strains we’re dealing with right now – and housing is our number one.”
Sounds like good advice to me. He didn't tell them not to come to NYC. He also said the bold....

Not sure why the GOP mayoral candidate is doing like candidates are apt to do in today's political landscape and making a race issue out of nothing.

IMO it is realistic for him to encourage people to come who have family they can stay with because he doesn't want them on the street or homeless. Winter is coming and NYC has some pretty harsh winters and I doubt people want to come there after going through all they've been through after Maria just to sleep on the streets because they don't have anyplace to live.

The point is that he doesn't require that of illegals. They can just show up there and hide anytime they want to.

Malliotakis says NYC should welcome all Puerto Ricans - NY Daily News

What a sickening statement from DeBlasio. Amazing how a Democrat can tell American Citizens to think twice about coming, but yet when Republicans want to protect America for illegal aliens they are told that it is prejudiced.

Glad, that it is Republicans standing up for the Puerto Rico American citizens.

It is not a surprise that DeBlasio would say something like that because the Democrats put American Citizens from Puerto Rico in the back of the line while rolling out the red carpet for illegal aliens.

Here's the real reason for his difference in treatment. PR citizens can already vote, illegals can't. It's a simple as pandering to a group that they want the votes from as soon as they can figure out a way to let illegals vote while tossing the useless group aside.

All his comments on illegal immigrants are about those immigrants already living in NYC....

I hope that is what happens. If enough come to the mainland, they could be dispersed to all the swing states making it virtually impossible for a Republican to become President again unless they moderate their current far right wing lunacy.
