She is certainly one of the most entertaining members of congress.

Navarro ran against her in 2016. There have been Republicans running against her in every election except for 2012, when her opponent in the general was a Dem (the first election after CA changed their electoral system), and 1998, when her only opposition was a third party candidate.

Couldn't find anything about whether Waters was ever primaried prior to the California electoral system being changed. I would be surprised if she didn't have primary opponents in 1990 when she was first elected to the House.

He's a good guy but in that district he really doesn't have much of a chance, and having Arpaio do a fundraiser for him was not a good move in that district.

People need to remember that the percentage of the population of the district who are illegal is very high, and the percentage of the population in that district who can vote is really low. Turnout is also very low (although if Navarro or someone else can increase turnout to higher levels, this could work in their favor). It's funny how Los Angeles Dems decry voter suppression and gerrymandering in the Midwest and South but are just fine with it at home, because it means virtually certain re-election.

Waters is 8 years older than Hillary. She'd be 82 years old in November of 2020.

The US Secret Service and Special Forces V 79 year old Maxine Waters.

Apparently Maxine Waters has had guns fitted to her stair lift and has an armoured rascal scooter.

The ignorance of you people on the right (in this thread, not in society as a whole) is ASTOUNDING! She in no way meant "take him out" as "kill him" or "hurt him physically".

Have you guys never heard anyone say, maybe regarding sports, someone say, "Take him out!" or "knock his *** out!" or something similar? I have, and they weren't talking about murder or injury. This is the same thing as someone saying, "Oh my God! I am going to KILL him!" when they are mad. They don't literally mean they are going to kill someone. (Most of the time anyways)

Jesus. Either you right wing nuts are trolling, or you are really far too stupid to bother with. Not sure which at this point...

Note: I am in no way, shape, or form a Maxine Waters fan.

Well evidently her constituents like her. If they didn't someone would run against her in the primary....

Why do you all care if you don't live in her district and if you do, then you should run if you are qualified.

Didn't know the above, guess Waters just keeps getting chosen.
