But at this point I would like to try it again for pain, if it was legal.
I smoke it when I'm not working and most of the time it's only before bed. There have been times where my back hurts or my hands hurts so bad from working all week that I do take a puff or two. Many people smoke to help with pain of all sorts. It's a risk but one that some are willing to take.
Maybe you should stop posting and actually read up on things before spouting nonsense. There are plenty of medical uses, most of which are strains with very little THC content so it'd be near impossible to get "stoned".

Absolutely not. Why do you think "luxury" brands exist? They are status items. Average people splurge on these status items to make them feel richer than they actually are.
I suffer from severe arthritis pain. I am lucky in one respect, opiods make me so ill that I will not try them again. Over the counter meds, such as ibuprofen do nothing at all. I wish MJ was legal here so I could try it. None of the local doctors will prescribe marinol or I would try it.
Marinol is junk. You should feel lucky your doctor wouldn't prescribe it.

That type of thing seems not all that uncommon from what I've read, scary stuff! Yet some more acceptable to federal government than a few tokes and a glass of wine..

It IS a load of crap, but given the current opioid issue there's certainly no shortage of currently legal opiates. Never doubt the ability of a strong($$$) lobby to legalize their profit center, whatever that may be.

Yes, maybe he should. I was diagnosed with epilepsy when I was in high school. I have been on about 10 different meds, and none of them ever stopped the seizures. They may have taken them down from once a day to once every two days or so, but that was about the best it ever got. As I got older, things got a little better, and I was having about 1 a week. After being reevaluated, I was told I actually didn't have epilepsy at all, but instead had psychogenic nonepileptic seizures (pseudo seizures). They are mostly brought on by things like stress and anxiety. Once I graduated college and started working somewhat high stress jobs, they started coming a little more often. A friend suggested I try some MJ, which she provided, to see if it would help.
Let me tell you, it certainly did. After a while, they had been cut down to about once a month. Now I am down to about 2-3 a year. But apparently, according to T-310, I am a loser for doing this. A loser for helping myself to have a better life.
Also, as far as I am concerned, I have seen absolutely zero side effects. I didn't gain weight from the munchies, I didn't get lazy, I didn't get fired from any jobs, or anything else.
