Although marijuana is now legally available for purchase in Colorado, the black market for it is thriving. The reason is high prices.
.
.
Sellers on the black market say the only ones paying the high dispensary prices are middle-class whites. Indeed a social division along racial lines has been deepened by Colorado's marijuana experiment.
I never said the black market is dead. I said the majority that used it before now use the legal dispensaries. The proof is in how much revenue it is producing for the state. Of course the black market will say that. It is also thriving because they are shipping outside the state. I mentioned in a post above that it is grown and sold legally while being a front for illegal activity.
Edit: I also have a friend that is in the business and he sees all walks of life in his store.
I have never smoked MJ, but I do occasionally drink alcohol, so I am not familiar with the habits, and culture of MJ. Do MJ smokers tend to smoke more MJ throughout the day, or is it a more evening/weekend thing? I know, broad generalization, and everybody is different, but wondering if their are trends with MJ usage.
Well, I do know some wake and bakers. Most people I know that smoke it do on the weekends. I know one full fledge stoner who has quit on many occasions without any lingering effects.

I don't know about trends, but back when I did, it was usually at night after a stressful day. There were a few mornings, but those were very few and far between. Then again, I used it for health issues, not to get high. The few people I know nowadays that smoke, tend to do so somewhat randomly. Not usually during the day, but sometimes in the morning, sometimes at night. People who do it specifically to get high, pretty much smoke whenever they want to (I know a few of these too, but not well).

These 'losers' are remembered for their accomplishments long after their deaths, will you be?

T-310 has made a claim in the past that his brother died as a result of alcohol or something along those lines. Also, if it doesn't benefit T-310 it should be allowed for anybody. I am not just talking about pot.

And don't forget Carl Sagan(cannabis). There are hoards of other very notable people who use cannabis that could be mentioned, but this article is fairly recent so I chose it as a shining example:
“The illegality of cannabis is outrageous, an impediment to full utilization of a drug which helps produce the serenity and insight, sensitivity and fellowship so desperately needed in this increasingly mad and dangerous world.” —Carl Sagan

Thanks for the feedback. The reason I ask is a few years ago I did a consulting project for a manufacturing company that had a warehouse attached where employees would pick, and pack shipments. The company drug tested only the warehouse workers, about 25 men, and got a 100% positive for marijuana, and some other drugs. 100%! These guys would get high, listen to Howard Stern, and then screw up shipments.
Once it is legalized nationally there will be no black market. The problem we are having here in Colorado is people growing legally and selling legally but it is also a front for trafficking to other states. That will most likely go away once it is legal on the federal level.
Why would the go away? The article clearly states the black market in CO thrives because they can sell at a much lower price.
Cut the taxes? Well, there goes the argument that pot brings it all kinds of tax revenue.

According to the statement "Anyone who consumes a substance to alter their state of reality is a loser.", you become a 'loser' by merely taking an aspirin to alter your reality of the pain of a headache.
But don't smoke that crap around me. I don't like the smell.
