Looks like this is the talking point of today. The Republican Party is "extreme" and "does any have moderates". Makes sense since Hillary just claimed that in her recent interview

The Democratic Party has become the Land of Misfit Toys. It is where every minority group goes to complain.

I would hold off on anything until the whole gerrymandering thing is settled. If partisan gerrymandering is curtailed all bets are off. Both parties will have to moderate and far left and far right voters will be all dressed up and nowhere to go. By that they will have to be satisfied with the ability to affect their school boards and city councils instead of having any perceptible wider influence in statewide or in national elections.

Looks like it's going to happen whether you want it to or not.

Hey! Don't blame me. Hillary and Obama are the ones who destroyed the party. They had a lot of help, but it's on them.

Any bets?

They can't. The Religious Right is a critical bloc of useful idiots. Without the RR, the GOP couldn't win.

I don't the R's should split, but I do think the Establishment Republican career politicians should be Primary'd OUT. The McCain's and Grahams of the world need to go, and be replaced with actual conservatives.

They've made big gains in this state since I moved here 16 years ago, so no, I don't see it

What are "actual conservatives" in your mind? Today's conservative's are taking the country back to the Gilded Age. How much further back should we go?
