Flaming liberal here and I agree that Ellen was wrong to tweet that. It IS a double standard to say that a man shouldn't say something like that but it's okay if Ellen does it. Better to keep comments about a person's anatomy to yourself, or at least off of social media. A male or female friend might be comfortable saying or hearing that in private, but I think it's inappropriate in public.
Would it be "sexual harassment" or otherwise unacceptable if Weinstein, O'reilly, Trump or any conservative male made that comment and gesture? If so-it is equally so if Ellen did. Her attention is per the same motivation any man's attention would be.
So, leftists, are you going to play the hypocrite game and somehow pretend it's different when one of your favorite leftie lesbo pervs does these things, than when a male perv does?
I agree with you, Toyman. Better check the temperature in hell.
As the saying goes, you can look but you can't touch, unless you have permission.
Nothing wrong with admiring Katy Perry's heavenly body
As I've said above, I disagree with this. Maybe if they were in a public romantic relationship it would be okay. But if we're going to say men should be respectful and refrain from commenting on women's bodies, the same is true of women.
Imagine explaining it to a 10-year-old and see if it makes sense. It just doesn't.
Tweeting is not nearly as bad as groping, not even in the same category
One must run through similar thought processes to do both. There has to be a moment in which both actions require a person to assume a person won’t be offended. Had Ellen made other sexual comments toward Perry in the past which made her comfortable enough to let one rip for the world to see?
Now see...comments like these are what Ellen inspires by objectifying Perry nationally. But if anyone gets offended by similar comments one can say “Hey, I’m kidding like Ellen” - not sure how well it’ll work for a straight white male though.

Tell it to Joe Biden, one of the biggest gropers in modern times.
