Rosa Maria Hernandez was brought to the United States illegally from Mexico in 2007 when she was 3 months old, according to her mother, Felipa de la Cruz, to get access to better medical care. The family lives in Laredo, Texas, and all are undocumented.
U.S. Rep. Joaquin Castro, a San Antonio Democrat, blamed the Trump administration for adopting "callous policies" toward immigrants.
Soooo... she's illegal and disabled. Went through a border checkpoint for emergency surgery. Then was detained because she has 0 legal status.

I agree that she should be deported, thing is this was handled very badly, anyone with half a brain knows that there was not need to move her to detention while she was still in the hospital recovering from surgery.
This is 100% untrue. There is no disputing that Melania was working in the U.S. under a tourist visa, which makes her an illegal immigrant and subject to deportation. There is no statute of limitations for immigration fraud, even if you have since become a legal citizen.
The only difference between Melania and most illegals is that she's white. The Trump cultists, if they were truly concerned about enforcing the law, and not hating Hispanics, would push for Melania to be deported.
But they won't, because they don't care about the law. They hate Hispanics and want them gone. Illegal Eastern European porn stars are allowed.

It is not ungodly to have national borders and immigration laws that are enforced. Every country has them. And this child has received how much in free medical care? How many billions does America spend on various forms of aid and subsidies and education to illegal immigrants and their children? More than any other country, in raw dollar terms as well as a % of GDP. I can guarantee you that.

Actually, Medicare hasn't been working fine. The cost of providing it has skyrocketed like other health care costs. The costs are just covered up so that people don't see them. This is the problem with socialized medicine in a nutshell. The citizens don't want to think about the costs and they just expect the government to keep things under control. But that's not what happens--at least not in America.
In any event, the real solution to our health care issues in America has very little to do with fighting each other about how pays for health insurance after people make themselves sick with diseases that are almost completely preventable. The real solution is a healthier way of life, which will lead to dramatically less need for health care in the first place, and dramatically lower costs--as explained here:

Neither does Jesus.
America paid for this girl's surgery and has paid for her health care ever since she was brought here. They went through a checkpoint, border agents did their job, and the family got caught. I don't think it's unreasonable to have boundaries. We don't have unlimited resources, and allowing the family to stay sends out the bat signal to every family with difficult financial and medical needs that the US will pay their way.
The REAL heartlessness lies in Mexico, where the entrenched, corrupt elite won't give the poor and working classes any chance to move up.
