Hitler rose to power in the exact same way. It's sad that history is repeating itself but for it to be the US on the wring side of history this time around is truly sad. Never thought I'd see the day.
I affectionately refer to them as "Trumpocrits".

Its going to take a true miracle to get the nut jobs of this cult to see the light of reason.

Praising Hitler, eh? Well, you voted for Obama twice so I can't say I'm surprised.

It seems that you don't know what a hypocrite is. If we defined hypocrite as you do, literally EVERYONE who cast a vote for any candidate for any office, EVER, would be a hypocrite.

If we could have voted for Obama again we would. If we could had voted for Bush or Carter again, we would. They were the epitome of how a president should be. They were statesmens who put country first and not their ego.

Trump hasn't been a Democrat for many, many years. Reagan was once a Democrat too. Many people are former Democrats. But when the Democrat Party went so far to the Left, it changed. It is a Marxist-socialist Party. Trump has always been a capitalist.

Barack Obama was raised by communists. Was that of concern to you? His politics developed from that ideology and also the "progressive" Marxist-socialist ideology of the Democrat Party. He dreamed of overthrowing the U.S. Government when he was at Occidental and was a member of a Marxist-socialist club with that goal. Hillary Clinton has also stated many times that she is a "progressive."

Did you embrace Bill Clinton? I ask because you bring up "cheating on his wives." What do you know about Trump cheating on his wives? I suspect you know nothing. Multiple marriages? How many? I know he was married once before, but is that something that should be of concern when choosing a President? Reagan also had a previous marriage. Did you hold that against him? What about the Kennedy's? They were known for womanizing.

Conservatives are no more hypocritical than Leftists. There is much hypocrisy in the Democrat Party.

Conservative ideology is mostly a political ideology. We believe in the founding principles of this nation, and the Constitution. Democrats ("progressives," or more correctly, Marxist-socialists) do not. They hate the Constitution because it limits government and puts the people in control. "Progressives" want government "experts" in control. That is an oligarchy.

American patriots are people who love Liberty and our Constitution. That doesn't describe anyone on the Left that I know of. Some of my ancestors were famous patriots, like James Otis Jr. ("The Patriot") who fought against 'Writs of Assistance', Mercy Otis Warren, an anti-Federalist, and Samuel A. Otis.

Democrats today are anti-American. They are not patriots. They speak of "our democracy." Is that out of ignorance, or is it because they believe in democracy and not our Constitutional Republic? I believe it is the latter. That's why so many of them advocate doing away with the Electoral College and electing the President by nationwide popular vote, effectively making the States colonies, and no longer sovereign States, and elevating the President to King.

Incorrect. We lost. All Americans lost. The only person who won is Trump, and even he admitted during a vulnerable moment that being President was much harder than he thought it would be. If you are a Trump supporter who believes these entire four years are about ONLY about punishing Hilary and Obama, you're right; this election was a big win for you. But if you plan on getting anything else out of Trump's reign (like policy changes), you lost too. Trump isn't capable of cooperating well enough with Congress or the Courts to pass meaningful legislation, and those executive orders he's always signing don't do anything by themselves. He still has to play nice with others, and that's something Trump is incapable of doing.

Good advice. I intend to. Had long term plans to anyhow. Just pushing up the departure date. Have a few commitments to honor and then it's goodbye USA. I used to feel conflicted about it--now it just feels liberating. This country is totally devolving into a crass, rude ugly place to be with ignorance celebrated and spreading like wildfire.

The GOP establishment is salivating over tax cuts and pathetically willing to castrate themselves to obtain them. Trump could totally turn this country into a dictatorship and his devoted cult would slavishly obey and defend this flaming ignorant megalomaniac jackass and pathetic specimen of a human being.

I don't really know how many of his adoring defenders are paid bots at this point, but it is way too revoltingly similar to the adoration for Jim Jones, David Koresh and Kim Jung Un for comfort.

I really don't think it is similar to Hitler, though--more like the clown Berlusconi. People feared Hitler. All they fear about Trump is his stupidity, poor judgment, ignorance and immaturity--that is what makes him dangerous.

How anyone can make this bloviating reality show host buffoon their hero is beyond comprehension. Those in the working or middle class who can believe he cares about them or their situation has to be brainwashed or incredibly desperate. This period in our history will not be looked at in a positive light. MAGA will go down in history has the biggest punchline of all time.

I need nothing from this guy--not his moronic bloviating, self-aggrandizing opinions, not his neanderthal policies--they don't have any real affect on me. I just want to live in a place with a better quality of life where hate and division is not the policy du jour, and where education and knowledge is valued, not scorned.

And a preemptive thanks for all the 'good riddances' and 'don't let the door hit you on the way outs.' I won't.

As reflected in the Trump supporter responses, this was not clear enough. I realize that reflection and measured response (which, apparently, in Trumpland is known as a "meltdown") aren't as much fun as burning-down-the-house, knee-jerk idiocy, but the link was not posted for you. I can never be clear whether the Trump/Bannon hang-em-high supporters are mindless adolescents ventriloquizing Daddy, grumpy old white men who get a vicarious thrill from Trump's faux "strength" and Bannon's fascism, or just generally ignorant but angry FOX-obedient white people--but nobody is surprised by your predictable, tedious responses; in fact, nobody expects you to have read any source, or to be amenable to reading any source, beyond what you have been instructed to read, if indeed you read anything at all beyond Joe Blow's MAGA blog. So, just to clarify: the link was provided for those who care.
But the bolded is what Trumpism/Bannonism is all about.

Education is derided and they believe that their ignorance is better than anyone else's expertise.

They love the mindless following and chanting of 'lock her up'. In fact, if you were to turn on Fox News today - you might believe that Hillary Clinton was our president today as Corey Lewindosky goes on about the corruptness of the 'Clinton Administration'. And, no, he wasn't talking about Bill.

The politics of faux-strength needs a foil and they need Hillary for that - even IF they have to go back 10 years to investigate.

Investigation of one's vanquished political opponent for revenge purposes is NOTHING that our government stands for - but Trump will go there to save his own skin if necessary and his adoring fans lap it up. Since Nixon - there was to be separation between the Justice Department and the WH - but Trump is intent on using the Justice Department for his own person vendetta and neutered Republicans like Nunez will help him do it.
