The local news here says that most (at least four or five) of the victims were argentine citizens wich were on holidays in NYC. What an horrible way to lose their lifes.
Turns out the Muslim driver got here via the diversity immigration lottery, something that Trump wants to get rid of and replace with a system, the RAISE Act, based on education and skills to benefit America. That's the original purpose of immigration -- to make America better.
My dad got in through the diversity lottery and now he is earning 150k+ at an oil company, although he came here with not much and was even homeless for 6 months. I think the diversity lottery has a lot of success stories and is to me the reason why I live were I live today.
