What was even worse was the 1965 Immigration Act that Ted Kennedy authored. He said it wouldn't change our demographics and would benefit us. That act alone allowed in millions of Third Worlders whom many were a burden to our country and wouldn't assimilate into our society.

Our system is working really well and has been for a long time. Sure we need to stay on top , stay vigilant and make improvements as we go.
How are the Syrian refugees vetted? Their government is in complete disarray, mostly due to the USA. How about the Somali refugees? Their government was basically nonexistent. How about vetting people from countries like North Korea who refuse to cooperate with us? How about people from Russia and China? Do we really trust their governments not to slip spies in the mix?
The new darling of the left James Comey stated that we couldn't properly vett the Syrian refugees.
A merit based system only makes sense. We produce enough burden on our own it is stupid to import more. As you pointed out we produce enough nut jobs on our own , we don't need more.
President Trump urged for tougher, merit based immigration measures. Do you support this idea?
