One of the primary objections for Republican house and senators should be to bring back the bacon to their districts.

When Republicans don't bring home money to their districts after a river overflows it's banks it makes a liberal competitive in certain districts, so they should spend when ever there is a disaster in Republican districts (especially if they are swing districts)

Why should California get money when it has politicians saying negative things towards a President that is incredibly popular in middle America.
Because disasters should not be about politics. Who cares what people said about the incompetent fool? He is unpopular to the majority of the country and getting less popular.

This is about helping people that belong to the same nation no matter what their political beliefs are. It sounds like you want them to die.

Which is unfortunate.

Everybody commenting negatively on California have no clue about it. They believe that if the Hollywood elite are liberal then the whole state is. The OP is by far the biggest anti-California poster on POC and will post anything negative whether true or false. Based on the opening post he believes Trump personally gave money to California and therefore the state should be kneeling at the very presence of the Great Noble Liar.

California deserves aid and will most likely get it. They will not be leaving the union to the disdain of some of you hardcore Trumpets. Some on here seem to conveniently forget that Texas threatened to leave the union because Obama was elected.

You've got to be a troll, or just nuts. No rational person would agree with your logic. And the fact that your stated location seems to change with some frequency casts even greater doubt on the sincerity of your opinions.

We don't have money to give away to that dump, largely thanks to King Obama and the $12T additional debt he ran up.
California pays more in Federal taxes than it receives back so saying "Screw California" would be detrimental to the rest of the nation.

It also has the 5th. largest economy in the world so I don't really think they need Mexico to bail it out.

As for President Obama adding $ 12 Trillion to the debt?
Did you forget that Dubya never added the debt of the wars in IRAQ & Afghanistan to the budget?
He did yearly Supplemental bills that took care of those costs on a yearly basis.

When Obama was elected he immediately added the War costs to the debt hence our National Debt doubled in addition to the costs of bailing out the banks and the Auto companies.

Did you also forget that Dubya and Congress are the ones who passed those bailout packages?
Obama just signed them into law.

Lots of people are mentioning about FEMA helping homeowners.

However, FEMA pays for a lot of stuff that's not related to private homes.

They pay for the police and fire staff and the shelter staff and the street cleanup crews and the safety people that worked throughout the emergency. They help with municipal infrastructure like parks and roads and bridges and street signs that were destroyed. The cleanup and disposal from disasters is a massive effort and FEMA helps with that.

Do you not see the difference?

One is against a politician, not caring for his policies and his behavior.

Another is not helping the well-being if people because of their political stance.

Completely different.

The hatred going both ways should be irrelevant. It's childish on both sides and shouldn't be a factor on whether or not a state receives Federal help when a disaster strikes. How petty some people are.
When did Trump say he wasn't giving CA the requested money or is that just someone making assumptions?

Got news for ya. Those are not illegals. Those are veterans, seniors and people who have paid taxes all their lives only to lose all they had and no housing available due to illegals being all cozy and warm in those homes.

Sure, help California out..but get rid of Brown first. He is a loser and will just spend the money to assist more illegals.

I'm opposed to giving disaster money to any state. It encourages people to rebuild in areas that are likely to have the same "disaster" occur again.
