Cal Students Develop Way To Expose Fake News Accounts, Bots On Twitter « CBS San Francisco

Seems like it might be a pretty neat way for a new generation of Americans to serve their country - by helping the US fight the internet/digital battle online. The US government could probably invest a little bit of money across college campuses around the country, which house the greatest minds we are producing, and pay them to help develop AI/machine learning algorithms to help detect Russian trolls that are trying to undermine our democracy. We'd get far more in return vs. the amount we'd be spending and it'd help train younger Americans in the technical skills we need to stay ahead. The older generations lament the younger generations of Americans that they've produced.....well, how about giving young Americans with modern technical skills the avenues to serve their country?

There are a few on this very C-D forum. If you learn what to look for, you can spot them pretty easily.

You don't fit the profile. I think you know several of them if you read this forum regularly. It's against the rules to post their names though. Google for tips on how to spot them. I posted tips on how to spot them on C-D before but I am not going to type it again.

The Federal government actually already has a program called Cyber Corps that is designed to recruit students who are studying subjects relevant to cyber security in college. The students get a scholarship and stipend, and in return agree to work for the government a certain number of years after graduation.

It is a really cool program.

shutting down cnn.com would take out most of the fake news on the web, lots of the lib reps twitter accounts are guilty of being a bot farm as well as they tweet about the same crap as each other...biggest thing exposing them is that its all about feelings and emotions, which have no place in policy anyhow.

lol no.

Liberals on this forum accuse anyone (including myself) of being a bot if they do not toe the line on the Russian war drum beating perpetrated by the corporate media and the democratic party/
