Suspect is dead. Should we just skip the condolences and get straight to finger pointing?

When you take away the right to bear arms, only criminals (like this one) will have them. Then where are we?
If you carry a gun to church, you need to rethink why you are there in the first place.

Places Off - Limits Even With a Permit/License
(b) A license holder commits an offense if the license holder intentionally, knowingly, or recklessly carries ahandgun regardless of whether the handgun is concealed or carried in a shoulder or belt holster, on or aboutthe license holder ’s person:
(6) on the premises of a church, synagogue, or other established place of religious worship.
That is not correct, the law is that each church church can decide whether or not to allow open carry in their church. The default is yes, if they want to prohibit them they have to put a sign up:

I am just sure whoever did this cared if it was illegal to carry a gun in this church. Just as much they would have cared if guns were illegal everywhere.

No. Right on schedule. All "thoughts and prayers" do is make whoever babbles that trite expression feel smug about themselves without having to actually do anything.

And it is WAY past time to talk seriously about real solutions to our gun problem. We need to divorce Congress and the NRA so that can happen

Concealed carry is allowed in churches and universities in Texas, I wonder if there was one in the church.
