She should've complied and nothing wouldn't have happened.

She should've did what the officer told her to do and she wouldn't have gotten hit. She hit the officer first.

Pretty sure it's against police protocol to punch a suspects who is detained.

Do I feel sorry for her? No, I just preferred if it was a bystander and not a cop.

I hold cops to a higher standard than I do civilians.

Or something....
What should she expect? Assault on a police officer charges. The punch in return is not how we should be training police officers.

Lol, ABC Evening News is exactly where I saw the story.

As far as "explaining further", save your breath.

Cops are human. They also have a right to defend themselves. I don't fault the cop here.

They're trained to keep their cool in these situations.

Was he wrong as a person? No.

Was he wrong as a cop? Yes. Needs retraining on professionalism.

While traversing an interstallar cloud at Warp 6, I was surprised today that I found a modicum of common ground with odanny for the first time.

Interesting to see so many supporters in the comments. Usually people are always "You should never hit a woman no matter what!", but given her actions and our time of living in equality I find it totally justified. And to think that she's a nurse.
That reminds me of another incident where a bus driver from Cleveland hitted a woman in 2012. There's a thread about it on C-D forums along with a clip from vlogger David Spates. //www.city-data.com/forum/polit...r-decking.html
Skip it to 6:13 to hear what the bus driver said to that woman.
