I believe in prayer. Jesus told us to pray to our Father God to let our needs be known to God. I believe in divine intervention through prayer. I believe God wants his people to grow in faith and have a personal relationship with him God knows this world has evil in it.
This shooter walked up and down the aisle in this church shooting the women and their children. He enjoyed shooting them as he walked up and down the aisles 10 to 15 times shooting them over and over again to kill them. This is the evil and hate this man had. He had beaten his wife and child because he was so sick with hate. He shot little kids over and over. It was a bloody carnage and he walked up and down looking at it creating more. This is the evil of one man .
Your post made me think of at times I have wondered why prisoners of torture? Why animals are abused at the human hand?
That goes waaaay back in history.
Why would the be allowed to happen? Why can such evil people walk this earth?
Alot of questions I have. It doesnt seem to make sense.
I still believe in a higher power.
I think I may find those answers when I die.
I doubt it. I’ve never seen any answers buried in a casket before. Usually they’re just filled with a dead body.
I hear you, Magritte. I get confused a lot around it too.
As I ultimelty believe in a force of God, I am more day to day living spiritually with the earth, animals, and nature. In a sort of the way of the Native Americans.
Yes I believe in a force of a higher power and I do believe that Jesus Christ existed. Like you, living spiritually with other humans, earth, the animals and the environment brings me closer to God than other acts do.
Just replying to a post. Do you need a safe place?
As was I. Since you took the time to ask why I felt the need to question others, perhaps it is you who requires a space where conflicting opinions do not exist?
I do think God is good. I don't think God is directly responsible for every good or bad thing that happens. Such a mindset would make it very difficult, if not impossible, for me to believe in God at all.
And yet, that's what many others believe and why many people like me can't take them quite seriously. IMHO, its a juvenile mindset.
Leftists hate religious Americans and bash them. We had a shooting at a church not too long ago and now all of a sudden they care about the wounded and the families of the victims? Real hypocrites right there.
I suggest you expand your worldview. According to Pew Research, 77% of those liberals polled have a belief in God, most of them saying they absolutely believe in God. Even so, disagreeing with organizing religion does not preclude one from feeling sympathy and sadness for those hurting.
What is so sad is people who are posting on how stupid believing in God and prayer is right now don't realize how close they are to the thoughts of this murderer, but oh well. Blaming the victim has become the thing to do in our country so I don't think that will change very soon.
Oh, give me a break. Next time some self-professed Christian blows a hole in a doctor who performs abortions, I suppose I shall assign such mindset to you.
