Wasn't it lucky that the "guy next door" just happened to be a gun owner, had a rifle handy, was a well qualified shooter and NRA member, and he stepped outside and took on the perpetrator, stopping him.
Would have been 'luckier' if the Air Force had not carelessly lapsed in notification to LE and the perpetrator, who should not have been allowed to buy a gun, was not allowed to buy a gun.
Certainly luckier for all the men, women and children and infants who were murdered because a violent jerk with anger management issues had an assault rifle.
We have by far the most guns of any country on Earth with the highest rates of gun ownership. We also have the overwhelming majority of gun deaths, especially of women and children on the planet.
The safest countries on Earth have lower gun ownership and heavy gun restriction.
Which should not be the case based on pro-gun talking points. We should be the safest in the world with so many people owning guns.
Why the contradiction?
That's not always the case, Mexico has very strict gun laws, yet the homicide rate, including ones that involve guns, are higher than those of many other nations.
So if people stopped worrying about hurting other peoples feelings maybe we can move in a positive direction in this country. But every time people present facts like that we are worried we'll get called racist when in fact it is true.
Black people don't commit the majority of those crimes because of the color of their skin. They commit the majority of those crimes because they are statistically more likely to grow up in poverty & be around violence.
So why did life explorer didn't say blacks commit a disproportionate amount of murders? Because they do, and that's a fact, and it makes no sense to completely exclude them from crime statistics by saying things like, if you ignored the blacks the US is very safe. Are blacks not Americans, and the cities they live in American cities too? SMH

Exactly lol. Take out all poor non-whites, and all poor whites, and of course the US is the best at everything normal people call that sweeping it under the rug, not realizing the stench still permeates from the room.

So your'e premise is that Black Americans are not true Americans so stats associated with them don't count.
Sorry, you are wrong, Black Americans are just as American as you are.
