Concentrated wealth always buys political power. What we need is Social Democracy like they have in Northern Europe, to prevent the concentration of wealth in the first place. But our corrupt elite has convinced the masses that Social Democracy equals Socialism, and is therefore evil.
If you want a peaceful revolution where everyone wins (except for the corrupt elites), support Social Democracy.
A healthy, honest media WOULD be a key cog (maybe the most important) in what you are describing.
That is absolutely not going to happen. Our media is WAAAY too far gone.
This fact is a big reason why I say an actual revolution must happen.
a revolution would not bring about a fair and honest media, only the people can do that. and how do we do that you ask? the same way we can get things done in other areas, pressure. we get a hold of the powers in charge of the "fourth estate" and demand that they stop with the partisan bull crap.
again we the people must be vigilant in keeping an eye on the media and keep them honest. we must put pressure on people like racheal madow and chris mathews, and yes even sean hannity and others on both sides and tell them that was dont want their bull crap, we dont want them "scooping" other outlets with what ever story they put out, instead we want fair and honest reporting. we want real verifiable facts laid out for us, not what ever conjecture they choose to put out in front of us before the real facts are in.
for instance we need them, when they report on something like a mass shooting for instance, to get real facts, and not surmise why someone did the shooting, or what political background that person has, for what ever. we need them to stop playing the blame game, and suggesting that some politician who isnt anywhere near the area had something to do with said shooting.
we need them to stop playing all the games they play, and get back to what people like dan rather, in his prime years before he got full of himself, and walter cronkite and others from that era did. give us the news without the spin.
in the end armed revolution right now is not the answer. if this country went through an armed revolution every time there was a political divide in this country, we would be having one about every 20 years or so, and it would always be very very messy to say the least.
calling for armed revolution now is irresponsible at the very least and dangerous in the extreme.

Why do you want a revolution are you sad that you can't kick homosexuals and blacks out of your neighborhood? Are you scared because Christianity is declining?
You can't start a revolution just because you don't like somebody, if everything was done within the law, you can't just break the law to get your way
