Most of the news is very depressing and I just change the channel.

I don't watch the news either, I read news online.

I enjoy the 'old' sitcoms, and some of the shows on PBS. Other than those, the TV pretty much remains off.

My TV is mostly for console gaming. I agree about the older shows (and PBS!), I will always love MASH. And Hogan's Heroes. And Alfred Hitchcock Presents.
