For those on here who don't think we will get a wall, care to share why it would not be helpful? Yes, we need to enforce e-verify and make other changes but a physical wall would help keep out illegals.

Half of illegal immigrants come to the US on a plane.

Planes fly over walls

Not if the wall is really, really high.

The cost alone is prohibitive, to say nothing of the expense and time it would take to steal all the land necessary through eminent domain. And then it would be a virtual black hole of never ending cost to maintain into perpetuity. We would be saddling generations to come under the burden of maintenance.

Plus, any wall can be gotten under, over or around.

Stupid idea all the way around, especially when our infrastructure is falling apart and our electric grid needs to be upgraded.

There are many, many legitimate things we should spend money on. A wall is not one of them.

Unless its going to be like the Berlin wall, it will not be any more effective than what we have in place now. They will find a way around, above, thru, or under the wall eventually, there is too much money in human and drug trafficking for a wall to shut it all down.

The Mexican cartels have an unlimited budget, so they could hire the worlds best deep core tunnel builders to go VERY deep, heck for all we know, they could already have a very complex tunnel system in place, something other than the fairly shallow tunnels they show on the news, Im talking about professionally done, big enough to drive trucks thru, they could be a mile under ground or more.

Speaking of infrastructure, whatever happened to that?

I thought Trump was going after that on day one. Wasn't there a whole week about it?

Those samples will be a tourist attraction for many years and a source of humor for comedians. They will stand as a reminder of the folly of those who fall into step with charlatans and would-be dictators. Maybe they could be the anchor pieces for the Trump Presidential Library (which would consist mainly of framed prints of his tweets).

Keep dreaming your anti-American dream. The wall is going to happen no matter how much you pro-illegals don't like it. It was already approved by congress back in 2006 but just wasn't funded. It will be now.

The "good" double walls already erected along shorter portions of the border have been very effective in deterring most illegal aliens. What you are speaking of are the other types of walls and flimsy fences that haven't been very effective. Here it is for you naysayers.
