Are there problems? Yes. Does California have all the answers? Hell no. Is life good for all Californians? Absolutely not. But overall, the state is still doing pretty well, contrary to the claims on CD that California and other liberal states are a drain on the nation.
Once money goes to the federal government, its no longer property of the state, so receiving anything back, is by definition, welfare. 1/3rd of the nations welfare recipients reside in California. If it was such a power hours, there wouldnt be so many there on poverty, nor lead the nation in such poor statistics

All you've proved is that income inequality in California is ridiculously high because some pay huge amounts in taxes while large numbers are takers inside your own state. California alone is proof Democratic plans dont address wealth inequality you guys rally against all the time.

Isnt that how you guys believe in regards to non profits like churches? its "not fair" they are tax exempt because that means others are subsidizing them, right?

Why should someone making $200K per year in Tennessee pay more in FIT than someone in Connecticut making the same thing with the only difference being the state income tax and property taxes?

MS,LA, AL, TN get nearly 40% of their state budget from the fed gov. NY,NJ,CT, and CA, about 25%. Who's paying their fair share again?

way to bring up an irrelevant point to gloss over the fact that you have no actual retort here.

The rich pay for the poor, that's the way it works....NY, NJ, Conn, CA need to pay more.

So you believe states should raise their taxes and get less money from the federal government for spending, but attack Conservatives who believe states should be more independent and not so reliant upon the federal government.

yep.. the stupidity is real..

1) you still haven't addressed my point- bringing up an irrelevant topic doesn't suffice

2) So your answer is to raise the contribution of those already paying more to subsidize the takers? IT's funny how you are ok with that on a state level when it punishes "lib" state, but seem to want o fight against that to the death on an individual level...funny huh?
