His policies sucked. Personal anecdotes do NOT over ride the facts. The poor feel further behind while the rich thrived.

Is that not what you are complaining is going to happen under Trump? Why can't Trump supporters use the same excuse you just did and have it be legit?

"I'm doing well".

I am NOT a fan of the "I got mine" politics.

In before communist, socialist, how much should we "steal" from the rich, etc. this isn't a tax policy topic.
Because they still buy into the fallacious American Dream. They truly believe that some day they will be rich so they ironically identify with the rich that are putting them in the position they find themselves in.

Was that because of government policies, or YOURS?

That's a trick question coming from you, as I know your position on this issue already

the American dream does exist...

1 in 20 americans are now considered millionaires

yet the liberals keep changing the definition of ''rich'''

1950's the top bracket ("rich") was set for 380k...(3.5 million in todays dollars)...yet today liberals like Obama want to call household making over 200k , rich

Afaic, someone who's rich has enough money in savings that they would never have to work again, and could still live a middle class or higher lifestyle (would be $60k times 80 minus their age).

So for someone 35 years old to be rich, they would have to have $3,300,000 or more in savings as an example, but in liquid; home equity or stocks/mutual fund/IRA wouldn't count.

Upper class (but not wealthy) would have to work but would earn an income equal to half of the median home price of their city/town in a year. For here that would be an annual income of $120k or so.

Middle class would earn 5 times the median rent of a one bedroom apartment in their city (times 12) per year to 1/2 the median home price of their city in one year. That would be $49,800 to $120k per year here.

Working class would earn two and one half times up to five times the median rent for a one bedroom apartment in their city every month, or times that by 12 for annual income. For here that would be $2,075 to $4,150 per month or $24,900 to $49,800 per year.

Anyone below this who works would be the working poor, and anyone below this who doesn't work would be the indigent

I will offer my own experience. I aspired to more than my parents achieved and knew I could obtain it. Rich doesn't mean we were 'to the manner born'.
.

Some know their lot in life in America is not determined by birth and don't want to be penalized when they achieve their goals.

Everything that was done to the economy under Obama was done to boost Wall Street. Are you denying that the poor fell further behind while the rich thrived the last eight years?

(I've condemned W every bit as much)
