I am all for Medicaid but 545 billion a year in 2015 is just way too much in my opinion.

https://www.cms.gov/research-statist...act-sheet.html

I have never understood why Medicaid cover's those who are obese. I think an exception could made if it due to a tumor, very underactive thyroid or swelling issue but why is Medicaid covering those who are obese because of their eating habits with government money.

Medicaid participants should only be allowed to be on the program if they have a healthy diet. If people can afford steak they shouldn't be on Medicaid.

As a condition of Medicaid they should have a vegetarian and bean-based diet because eating steak should be reserved for those who can afford private insurance.

I think it's also insane that smokers can be on Medicaid. They should also eliminate Medicaid who are found with alcohol in their system above DUI level

Seriously, I lived in an area where people actually worked to become obese to not have to work. The health issues associated with obesity set them up as "disabled", and when we got up early to go to work, they were still sleeping peacefully until they went to get their McDonald's meals about 10:30 AM.

Drug addicts tend to also be on Medicaid, they can't earn a wage because they can't pass the drug tests. I think many of them probably use drugs before they test to not have to work.

The Medicaid handbook info is available in about 8 different languages, a private contractor's handbook had 12 different languages. Perhaps that is something that should be looked at.

Anchor births are covered under Medicaid as is emergency medical care to illegal aliens who use the emergency room at 3 times the rate of a US citizen. Yet another cost of Medicaid that should be eliminated. Gee, why is that the number of poor are increasing?

Getting people off of public assistance and having jobs that paid enough to afford medical care/health insurance would go a long way to freeing up Medicaid dollars.

Medicaid offers more than many of the health insurance policies. More and more, without a good work ethic and a moral upbringing, it would just make sense to give up and let someone else pay the bills!

The GOP's healthplan would allow all private insurers to charge applicants higher prices for eating meat or for being obese. Lots of Americans are obese these days. You don't even have to be massively large to fall into the obese category. Massively large is a different category than Obese and that category is morbidly obese.

With TrumpCare (which failed) 40% of American's could be charged higher health premiums(private insurance, not Medicaid) for their weight due to being obese. This doesn't even count those that eat meat or those that smoke.

With the GOP's health plan, the vast majority of Americans could be forced to pay higher health insurance premiums than their skinny, non-smoking vegetarian peers.

As long as you're being a gestapo, let's make people on Medicaid be total vegans and be forced to work out at a gym everyday too.
It's not up to you to dictate to other people what they can eat and do. Let's not allow pot heads on medicaid either then since that's a form of smoking.
You're idea of healthy is not necessarily what healthy is. The vast majority of people eat some meat, and many live long healthy lives.

Eating too much fish is not healthy. They can contain mercury.. so one must pray over their food today.

Medicaid should not cover vegan nonsmokers, because in our society that is usually an indication of a person being upper middle class. if such a person applies for Medicaid they are probably gaming the system.

The human body was intended to eat meat. We need the protein.
