Are Barbie dolls still existing?

It seems Mattel is being taken over and their stock over decades is not doing too well.

Mattel (MAT) - 35 Year Stock Price History | MacroTrends

We never spend a penny on Barbie dolls and neither did my parents and/or family.

I know a guy in my high school collected them and the stock history shows that Mattel items were not that popular under baby boomers.

This year a terrorist was arrested who wanted to blow up a plane with a Barbie doll.

Are they going to make a suicide bomber Barbie doll?

Exactly. Little Muslim girls who play with dolls might appreciate a doll like them. Disney went through the same thing since the Princesses had always been white. They branched out to characters like Mulan, Pocahantas, Jasmine, etc., to appeal to a broader base, and of course, make more $$.

As much as some people detest it, the world is changing. I hope our kids are better at accepting others than we have been.

Yes they are still existing.

Also, let's play a fun game where we find the worst example of every gender, religion, and race and ask if "they" are going to make comparable Barbie dolls! Seems SO fun, worthwhile and intellectually stimulating!

I sincerely hope so. I have hope for the kids in my neighborhood because there is a really good mix of different religions and races here and many of the kids do hang out together. There are still cliques of course but the cliques don't seem to be based on race or religion nowadays.

Will it have a removable head and a compass accessory to point to the east?

Will it be marketed for both boys and girls?
