Something I ask myself all the time in relation to the times we live in...Where are all the great inventors and innovators of our time, the Teslas, Edisons, etc.?

When was the last time you heard even a claim of a new invention or discovery that is really a breakthrough and truly groundbreaking, something that will change the world, change how cities are designed, etc etc?

Back in the days of Tesla and others, it was common to see inventors putting on public displays of their latest inventions, even if they didnt work as they said, they were at least trying.

I cannot remember the last time I heard or saw anything remotely like this, it really seems like we are a technology plateau.

The US won't become a third world country. But its dominance will be largely undermined when the day USD's status is challenged. Probably will take another 50 years or so.
