If that were so then why did congress approve of the 700 mile long wall in 2006? Every heard of tunnel sensors? It's mostly the drug cartels that are doing that anyway. Here's proof that the good walls do work on the most porous areas of our border. This forces them to try and cross in much more difficult and dangerous areas so fewer will try. Why don't you and yours just admit to your real agenda why you don't want the wall?

They could just get rid of the welfare state which would stop many from coming here. At least the poor ones. Naahhh Then who would we spend money on? I mean besides Americans.

Maybe the wall will be used for keeping people in?

Who wants to go to China though? Not many from Hong Kong I bet. Or US of A basketball players for that matter.

Same year they claimed they won the war in Iraq and Afghanistan, as I remember. We stood down as they stood up.

Same years when deficit spending was going into the trillions per year. Same years when we almost lost our entire economy.

I don't think it's relevant to ask why anything happened in that environment. We are living in backwards bizarro world brought on by mass paranoia after 9/11

And the federal government can just assert eminent domain for public use and build a wall and any other structures on their land. It's already happened in places like Texas where earlier sections of the wall were built.

Those most opposed to these types of solutions are usually tied at the hip to it. As in, they are "them", the illegals we so want to remove. There is too much to gain from our open social service setup.

Undocumented immigrants do not qualify for welfare, food stamps, Medicaid, and most other public benefits. ... Citizen children of illegal immigrants -- often derogatorily referred to as "anchor babies" -- do qualify for social benefits.
From Google so there children can get social services but there parents can not makes sense since we have birthright citizenship in the US. Building a wall will do nothing if you really wanted to make a dent punish the rich business owners that hire the hundreds of thousands of illegal workers.

So you're going to completely ignore the links I posted how the good walls have been very effective? Why would you do that?

Again, not all entering our country illegally are looking for jobs. You think criminals and terrorists are looking for jobs? Many illegals come here to give birth on our soil which entitles them to all kinds of freebies also. We need to end all of the incentives for them to come here not just the job magnet and build the wall.

There is no such thing as an "undocumented" immigrant either. They are illegal aliens according to our immigration laws.

The 14th Amendment does not make birthright citizens out of children born from illegal alien parents either. It's merely been a PC practice to do so. It's been discussed in here numerous times. It needs to be re-visited by the Supreme Court. Anchor baby is an ample name for them. The parents think they can anchor themselves unto our country by giving birth on our soil.

The parents use fake or stolen SS numbers to work here so what makes you think they aren't getting welfare by doing so also?

Where U.S.-Mexico border fence is tall, it works

Do your realize how much product the drug cartels are consistently able to get thru the border?...its enough to keep the entire nation supplied, and enough for many regions to have heroin epidemics! Thats alot of dope coming in CONSISTENTLY.

A physical wall will not stop the corruption and collusion in the drug trade, they need these drugs coming in consistently to keep justifying the war to fight them, if the wall was truly successful, LOTS of people and many agencies would be out of a job.
