People just ASSUME I speak Spanish without asking me and I'm sick of it!

That isn't what this topic is about. In most cases knowing a foreign language isn't of particular use in this country and the only language being pushed is Spanish and that's because of the large number of illegal alien Spanish speakers in this country and other unassimilating Spanish speakers who are balkanizing and colonizing our country.

It seems that the only solution is to leave the Southwestern US. Seriously though, if you want to 100% avoid this problem, move to a place where few people speak Spanish. I don't know what else you could do.

I guess you could always just pretend to not speak Spanish.
