At the time of the election that would have been a completely indefensible comment. Many voted for an outsider in the hope that he might take us in a new direction. I got that. I didn't agree with Clinton's statement at the time about them being "deplorable" (although clearly some of them were).

But now? After witnessing almost a year of the most disastrous, most incompetent, most anti-American President we have ever known? After watching this guy actively undermine our democratic system and work hard to divide the country and sow chaos on every level? Anyone that is left following this guy now is truly in a special class. You either have to be completely clueless or self-destructive to continue to show fealty to Trump at this point. So I guess I tend to agree with you.
