Those of us who don't live in caves heard it all over every single news source last night.
Charlie Rose is a creep of the highest order. His fake accent leaves me cold. I can't stand him. It's no surprise he thinks his naked body is something women like to look at.
Charlie NO!Say it ain't so! I like Charlie and I want to believe maybe he was being senile, if he did the things they said he did.... But then I see him on CBS Morning News and he "seems coherent." I wonder if he realizes he was doing what they accused him of? Is senility a viable defense?
As sad as I am about this (big fan of Charlie Rose), he did it. He knew what he was doing and he got away with it for a long time.
What is going on? Anyone in the government, entertainment or high positions can just be accused of so called sexual misconduct and fired? If a woman doesn't like you or feels that she has been wronged by you she can get you fired? So everything that you have ever said or done in your life can get you in trouble I guess. What has happened to this country?
I would agree with you if the men being accused didn't own up to their actions as soon as they became public.
Women should join the workforce they said. We will be equals, they said.
You know what's crazy? I've worked with probably hundreds of men over the past 25 years or so and a VERY small handful of them didn't know how to behave properly. I absolutely felt equal to most of the men I worked with. Let's not get paranoid okay? MOST men are perfectly normal and respectful human beings. I can't imagine most of them pulling the stuff Charlie Rose, CK Louis, Harvey Weinstein etc did.
Food for thought -- Charlie Rose and Weinstein and Louis CK are all in the entertainment industry with some of the strongest, full on liberal females wandering around. Their behaviour went un reported even in that environment.
While I do think their type of predator is not the 'common' in most areas, I wonder how many women who are truly in need of a job for food, money, their family -- have to endure this behaviour and worst.
I wonder if life will change for them now.
You know the waitress, secretary -- not the high power, high paying jobs -- the I need this to feed my kids jobs......
Yeah -- like folks not 'seeing' Moore as a predator to young girls.....
