We need the speed. Even Mars at it's closest at around just under 35 millions miles is not gonna happen. And 35 million miles is like taking one step compared to a star that is light years away.
Well, I have a crazy uncle, pretty much like the proverbial one. He was the first person I heard the fake Moon landing theory from. So, if there's any consolation for rational minds here, it's the fact that crazy unclehood is a wordwide phenomenon.
You don't need to be an astrophysicist or engineer to figure this out. I'm neither. Wouldn't Soviets have known about foul play if there ever was one? Think of all that cold war espionage and race. Come on, they wouldn't have stopped laughing at NASA and y'all til this day.
