Getting tired of winning yet? Summary, renewable energy and cheap natural gas caused the pending closure, "coal is inefficient" as was said. It's a 3 minute audio clip

Some industries are growing, some are declining. This is a matter of economics and viability, not politics. The real world does not, and should not revolve around politics, because politics is a messy, often unfair sport. In politics, the results of actions are often void of logic, and leave people scratching their heads. In economics, supply and demand determines just about everything, at least that's the way it is supposed to work.

In a free market, where supply and demand dictates outcomes, no one is left scratching their heads when consumers opt for the best value for dollar. If there are cheaper energy sources than coal, there is no logical argument for favoring it over more adventitious options.

Having said that, as long as there is a need for coal, there will be a need for coal suppliers, and the workforce they depend on. At the very least, the United States is capable of exporting coal, as there is a global demand.

So this is the most coal friendly admin since who knows when, yet plants are still closing.

The reality is that when Trump promised to 'bring back those high paying coal job' he was lying. Coal jobs have been on the decline for decades primarily due to automation and Trump can revoke all environmental regulations and it isn't going to help coal.

Meanwhile, the nation has lost 100,000 retail jobs -- which is more than all coal jobs, in the last year.

OK but that's not at all what Trump said when he was lying for votes...
