I remember it well when Ron Reagan shut down many mental homes and put people in motels as I had a cousin that this happened to. His mother could not take him back into her home as she was already taking care of a disabled son.

I believe all these RICH RICH people could invest in lots of low cost housing. And don't know why J Kushner is getting flack for what he did as someone said above.

Good Grief, people sure sounds like MOST could care less about helping taking care of their brothers and sisters while we're here on this earth.

I don't have the means to help others as I live on senior lower income and it's not about me -- it's about the very rich like the trumps.

Well known major property tax cuts:

Proposition 13 (California, 1978)

Proposal A (Michigan, 1994)

Proposition 2½ (Massachusetts, 1980)

Someone managed to find 48 acres to build a bunch of townhouses in Chappaqua, so I'm not so certain there is nowhere to build apartments.

Zoning?! Are you implying that the good citizens of Chappaqua would think of something picayune like zoning when we're talking about the housing needs of so many poor, deserving folks?

Proposition 2 1/2 was not a tax cut. It just limits the amount that taxes can rise. Rest assured, our property taxes are more every year.

I doubt the other states are much different.

Didn't Hillary purchase the house next door to her in Chappaqua? It was going to be for the Secret Service personnel and support staff when she became president. As it isn't needed for this purpose anymore, why not get her to subdivide it into several low-income units?

So you yourself can't be expected to do anything but want to advise the Trumps?

The last I heard was a rumor that Chelsea and her husband might move into that house so that Chelsea could run for the local U.S. House seat..........when that Rep retires.

That House seat is held by Nita Lowey, who is 80 years old.

Wrong.

The blame you are trying to affix to Reagan is typical progressive revisionist history:
