Instead of using other people's statements and ideas do you know how "black body radiation" works? Do you? If not then why do you believe in something you know nothing about or didn't even bother investigating.... please fill in all the clueless eco-freaks what black body radiation is and how it applies to greenhouse gases and most importantly.. WHY black body radiation doesn't exist in the real world versus the "ideal" world... or you can just regurgitate what eco-freaks and not understand the dynamics behind it all...

How do they explain the cyclic global temps; you know, those that occurred before modern industry. . . . the glaciers that covered north american. . . coming and going throughout the planet's history. details, details.

Don't look behind the curtain...there's nothing to see there.

I actually read in an article that children and the elderly are most at risk from global warming. These nuts are now calling the climate "crisis" a public health risk...and when the public's health is at stake there's no limit to the steps the government will take. Children and the elderly are most at risk from climate-change events such as flooding, storms, hurricanes, tornadoes, and droughts. Apparently none of these "extreme" weather events have ever occurred before.

I'd be glad to help with your education. "Black body radiation" is the infrared emission given off in this case by the earth. Because greenhouse gases absorb radiation of this wavelength, they trap the energy which otherwise would escape into space. The more greenhouse gas like CO2 the more energy trapped in the atmosphere and therefore a warmer earth. So we understand very well the physics behind the correlation. What other ignorance can I help alleviate?

Oh please help alleviate my own ignorance...why is it that the earth has gone through cooling and warming cycles since it formed, even prior to the existence of humans? Also, why is it that other planets in our solar system experience similar cycles?

That too broad a topic for a quick message board response. If you're going to participate in a discussion of global climate change, you should commit to some study and research. Get back to us when you've learned the basics.

Dodging the question again...there doesn't seem to be an answer from the eco-nuts when confronted with such a simple statement. I have done research on this...the reason is because it IS a natural cycle of the earth unattributable to humans.

Lake Bonneville - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Global Warming religion never really addresses the massive climate and physical changes the planet has experienced in, historically speaking, just the past few years.
In 2005 there was a rare, about every 10 years, rain storm that sent water gushing into death valley, millions of gallons only 4 or 5 feet deep maximum but thousands of acres were covered. Death Valley frequent visitors said they had never seen this much water in their life time, 70 plus years. How long would you expect this to last in 120 heat? The water evaporates in a couple of months it leaves behind the minerals and salts. The Bonneville Salt flats are the same. A huge, many square miles, area only a few feet deep in the Utah desert shielded by the Sierra Mountains estimated to be growing a few inches taller every year. This traps the rain clouds and smog, in some regions, on the west, Pacific Ocean, side leaving mostly desert on the east side. The Great Salt Lake is a remnant of Lake Bonneville. 30,000 years ago the Sierras were not as tall as they are today. The tectonic plates continue to move. Nothing to due with CO2 in the atmosphere.

The earth has always been a "global community". Peoples from South America were trading with the Pharohs of Egypt...People have always been drinking the 'waste water' that washed downstream...that's how diseases are spread in third world countries (note, not pollution from industry).
People in Norway were effected by the radiation from Chernobyl. Mt St. Helens' plooms of smoke and ash went so high into the atmosphere that it sent volcanic ash throughout the world. These weren't just local events.
