It was despicable to lie about sexual assault of a teen. It is inexcusable to try and discredit real victims. WaPo didn't fall for the lies. Shame on the fakers.
Ok--so you think that murdering and imprisoning media is ok. Got it. Move to Russia if you can't deal with a free press.
Funny you say that. This is Evan McMullins tweet. He was the 3rd party candidate that used to work for the CIA.
This is the sort of disinformation operation familiar to countries controlled by authoritarian regimes. It isn’t just a story about someone trying to embarrass the Post. It’s about a political movement’s assault on our ability to know truth.
Getting bigger and bigger by the day too. It's more controlled and organized than people realize.

He's not lying. It's one of the things Trump started doing during his campaign, conditioning the base to only believe what he says is true... And they have been eating it up, hook, line, and sinker.
Make no mistake, the right wing his injured a full-fledged war against the media. They hope to discredit all voices that are not their own.
They know they can get away with this. Their followers are mainly of low intellect and lack the critical thinking skills and power of discernment to know fact from fiction.

Yeah and they will never stop eating it up with Trump's daily "fake news" tweets ginning up the crazy. I heard them talking on the news today that this is really upsetting soldiers and the journalists with them stationed in war zones. They are putting their lives on the line and reporting REAL news while having to read this from the President!
ADD: Dan Rather is saying now on CNN that he is putting troops in real danger.
At least Trump fans have to get the sex harassment news now from the major networks as no one else can keep up or is accurate. Maybe that can help with the deprogramming.
Not optimistic. There is a guy I know that is 50, an engineer and he refuses to read anything but Breitbart, Drudge, etc. I told him something non political (think it was gas prices after the hurricanes) and he refused to believe me until they posted it. LOL! His friends (the few left) are ready to stage an intervention.

On one hand, it's encouraging that WaPo performed their due diligence and exposed this attempt to deceive them--thus fulfilling their fundamental duties as journalists.
On the other hand, the fact that the narrative seems to be "HAHA, WE DIDN'T GET TRICKED THIS TIME!" is pretty unnerving.
Looks like the Wapo journalists high-fived each other but will this achievement get to their heads and being a little bit smug?
In a nutshell, liberals are pushing out the message on social media that because the Washington Post didn’t fall for a James O’Keefe sting operation that you can trust everything the paper says.
Nope. Liberals are pointing out, correctly, that Project Veritas ended up with egg on their stupid, scheming faces and richly deserved it.
